Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) in Invercargill seeks a dynamic Research Coordinator to support and strengthen SIT’s research activities and processes, including PBRF obligations. The role supports the Research Manager and staff in implementing robust research practices and reports.
The successful candidate will typically hold a Master’s degree, with PhD (desirable), and demonstrate experience across research activities, ROMS familiarity, and event coordination.
Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support and strengthen SIT’s research activities. This role will suit a motivated professional with a strong academic background and a keen interest in supporting high-quality research and scholarly engagement.
The main aim of the role is to support the Research Manager in the growth and development of research at SIT. In addition, this role will provide additional support to staff in the implementation of research and research processes at SIT, particularly PBRF (Performance-Based Research Fund).
A Master’s degree in a relevant field
A PhD in a relevant field (desirable)
Demonstrated experience in research activities and processes.
Experience working within a tertiary Research Office environment (desirable)
Familiarity with Research Office Management Systems (ROMS)
Experience in organising and facilitating research-related events and workshops
