Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking philosophers to author and grade argument analysis and ethical reasoning scenarios for frontier AI model judgments. This fully remote, async contractor role focuses on constructing reference answers with clear argumentative structure and grading model outputs for validity, soundness, and fairness across objections.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree in philosophy and have at least two years of teaching or research.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in philosophy or closely related field.
• 2+ years of teaching, research, or published work.
• Depth in ethics, epistemology, logic, or philosophy of mind.
• Clear written English for constructing and evaluating arguments.
• Able to commit at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Author philosophical scenarios that test argument analysis and ethical reasoning.
• Write reference answers with the argumentative structure made explicit.
• Grade model output for validity, soundness, and fair treatment of objections.
• Flag reasoning that sounds profound but equivocates or begs the question.
