Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Media Liaison Officer to manage the company’s public image and media interactions in a fully remote role. You will build relationships with journalists, respond to inquiries, and disseminate information accurately.

This position requires a degree in PR/Communications/Journalism and at least three years of media relations experience. You’ll monitor coverage, draft statements, and guide spokespeople in high‑stakes situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in media relations, PR, or journalism.
• Proven ability to secure positive media coverage and manage media relationships effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing capabilities.
• Proficiency in using media monitoring tools and understanding media analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with media representatives across various platforms.
• Respond promptly and professionally to media requests and inquiries.
• Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and other official communications.
• Monitor media coverage for mentions of the company, its products, and its industry.
• Provide guidance and support to company spokespersons preparing for media engagements.
• Assist in developing communication strategies for product launches, events, and crisis situations.
