Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Communications Coordinator to support a Canterbury-based team in Queenstown, operating in a hybrid model. You will assist in execution of communication strategies, manage content, and support media relations, with a focus on clear, professional writing.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Communications or related field, 1–3 years' experience, strong proofreading, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a communications or marketing support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proofreading abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing communication plans and initiatives.
• Draft and edit internal and external communications, including newsletters and website content.
• Support media relations activities, monitor coverage and respond to inquiries.
• Help manage the company's social media presence and engage with online communities.
• Coordinate logistics for communication events and meetings.
• Maintain communication databases and contact lists.
