Job summary

CrowdStrike in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Incident Response Specialist to triage, investigate and respond to security detections across endpoints, identity, email, network, and cloud environments.

You will deliver clear customer communications, perform malware analysis, and help develop countermeasures, while leveraging AI to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on incident response across security events, coordinating investigations.
• Experience applying MITRE ATT&CK to active investigations.
• Hands-on use of forensic analysis tools in IR investigations.
• Ability to perform basic malware analysis to support triage.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, and respond to security detections across endpoints, identity, email, network, and cloud.
• Analyze EDR telemetry, logs, and artefacts to determine root cause and scope.
• Investigate suspicious Microsoft 365 activity, contain threats and guide customers.
• Perform basic malware analysis to support investigation.
• Develop and improve incident detection processes and countermeasures.
• Deliver clear customer communications as the primary IR contact.
• Produce high-quality written and verbal findings for customers and internal teams.
