Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Health and Safety Compliance Officer to lead safety programs across nationwide construction sites. The role requires expertise in OHS Act regulations, strong communication, and the ability to manage compliance remotely.

You will develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, conduct remote risk assessments, lead training, and report on safety performance for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 5+ years of health and safety management experience, preferably in construction.
• In-depth knowledge of OHS regulations (country-specific).
• NEBOSH or SAMTRAC certification is advantageous.
• Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety management systems in line with regulations and policies.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and safety audits of sites via documentation and virtual inspections.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed corrective action reports.
• Deliver health and safety training for site personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date safety files and documentation across sites.
• Advise management on health and safety matters and promote safety culture.
