Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Chemistry Subject Matter Expert to help evaluate and improve AI training data and benchmarks. You will design advanced chemistry problems, craft clear step-by-step solutions, and assess AI outputs for accuracy and reasoning.

This fully remote, hourly contract offers 10–40 hours per week and the opportunity to collaborate with world-leading AI research teams while contributing to cutting-edge science education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains.
• Ability to write clearly and precisely explaining complex concepts.
• Detail-oriented with a rigorous evaluation approach.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, advanced chemistry problems to test AI performance across domains.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise reasoning.
• Evaluate AI outputs for scientific accuracy, logic, and explanation quality.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks from undergraduate to Master’s level.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI model performance.
