Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Aviation Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard critical aviation IT/OT infrastructure. The role focuses on vulnerability assessments, threat detection, incident response, and implementing security controls to protect aircraft systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity analysis, experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security, and a strong grasp of network security and cryptography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, and incident response.
• Proven experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on aviation IT/OT systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Monitor security alerts and logs; investigate incidents and coordinate response.
• Implement and manage security controls including firewalls and encryption technologies.
• Stay updated on aviation cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and technologies.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training and guidance to internal teams.
