Job summary

St Peter's College (Palmerston North) invites applications for a passionate Head of Department Religious Education. This full-time, permanent role leads curriculum design and pedagogical direction for Years 7–15, including wharekura, and collaborates with the DRS to uphold the Catholic Special Character.

The successful candidate will inspire kaiako, foster partnerships with ākonga, staff and whānau, and steer departmental planning, assessment, and student empowerment within a faith-driven

Qualifications

• Proven track record in curriculum leadership and pedagogy.
• Experience leading a secondary education department.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage students, staff and whānau.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and pedagogical leadership across Years 7–15.
• Special Character support with DRS to uphold Catholic ethos.
• Departmental management and collaborative planning within RE.
