Job summary

Community Care Trust Aotearoa is seeking a Permanent Reliever Support Worker to join our Independent Living team in Invercargill | Waihōpai. The role is permanent part-time, 48 hours per fortnight, with three 8-hour shifts weekly; shifts span Sunday to Thursday.

You’ll help people stay active in the community, grow natural supports and maintain independence. Ideal candidates will have a NZ driver licence, current First Aid, and the right to work in New Zealand; visa holders are welcome.

Qualifications

• A Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential)
• A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to complete one at our cost
• The legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand
• A valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining (if applicable)
• The ability to build genuine relationships, encourage independence and support community engagement

• Provide reliable support across Independent Living services as a Reliever
• Help people participate in community activities and develop living skills
• Support clients to grow natural supports and community connections
• Build relationships and encourage independence through person-centred support
