Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a Reliability Engineer for the Macraes underground mining team to own asset strategies for the mobile fleet and to improve reliability and safety. You will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and drive data‑driven decisions to create value and sustainable operations.

The role focuses on reliability performance across the Macraes Underground fleet, with responsibilities including asset criticality, maintenance strategy development, data alignment in Pronto CMMS, and

Qualifications

3+ years experience in a maintenance reliability role in mining or related heavy industry.
3+ years experience working with data.

Responsibilities

Lead asset criticality assessments, determine mitigation strategies, and align stakeholders.
Develop maintenance strategies and tactics, including maintenance intervals and spare holding requirements.
Build and align master data in Pronto (CMMS) to support the strategy, including asset registers, preventive maintenance tasks, and bills of materials.
Analyse performance data through ad-hoc analysis and structured reportbuilding.
Lead structured defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives to close performance gaps.
Proactively monitor asset condition and recommend corrective maintenance based on condition monitoring results.
Monitor and report on performance using fleet management and Pronto data.
Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analysis of losses or near-misses.
