Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a capable Reliability Engineer for the Macraes underground mining department in Otago, NZ. You will own and optimise asset strategies for the mobile fleet, analyse performance data, and drive reliability and safety improvements to create value and sustainability.

The role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and is a key driver of reliability performance, defect elimination, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

3+ years experience working with data.
3+ years experience in a maintenance reliability role in mining or related heavy industry.

Responsibilities

Lead asset criticality assessments and mitigation strategies.
Develop maintenance strategies including intervals and spares.
Configure and maintain master data in Pronto CMMS.
Analyse performance data and generate structured reports.
Lead defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor asset condition and recommend corrective maintenance.
Report using fleet management data and Pronto data.
Lead Root Cause Analysis of losses or near-misses.

Job Description

Our Macraes underground mining department are on the search for acapable Reliability Engineer. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will work toown and optimise asset strategies for the mobile fleet, analyse performance, and continually improve reliability and safety to create value and sustainability.

The role is akey driver of reliability performance, defect elimination, and data-driven decision-making across the Macraes Underground mobilefleet.

Responsibilities:

Lead asset criticality assessments, determine appropriate mitigation strategies, and align stakeholders.
Develop appropriate maintenance strategies and tactics, including maintenance intervals and spare holding requirements.
Build and align master data in Pronto (CMMS) to support the strategy, including asset registers, preventive maintenance tasks, and bills ofmaterials.
Analyse performance data through both ad-hoc analysis and structured reportbuilding.
Lead structured defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives to close performance gaps.
Proactively monitor asset condition and recommend corrective maintenance based on condition monitoringresults.
Monitor and report on performance using fleet management and Prontodata.
Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analysis of losses or nearmisses.

Key SuccessMeasures:

Improvement in Underground Mobile Fleet availability and reliability.
Reduction in unplanneddowntime.
Effective identification and elimination of repeatdefects.
Timely completion and quality of Root Cause Analysis investigations.
Improvement in maintenance strategy effectiveness (PM compliance vs correctivework).
Quality and utilisation of asset data in Pronto and reportingsystems.

Qualifications

Full, Class 1 diver’s licence, with ability to drive manual vehiclespreferred.
Applicants must have full NZ working rights / unrestricted NZ Visa to beeligible.
Tertiary level Engineering qualification preferred.
3 + years experience working withdata.
3 + years experience in amaintenance reliability role in mining or related heavyindustry.
