Job summary

Sunnytech Solar seeks a Regulatory Change Business Analyst to model markets for solar and storage, sizing opportunities and advising on expansion over 3–5 years. You will work with directors and operations to translate research into actionable business strategies, pricing, and supply arrangements.

The role focuses on in-depth market intelligence, commercial feasibility, and recommended expansions, with a mandate to shape product range and partner networks.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills for market sizing and forecasting.
• Experience in industry research, market analysis or commercial strategy.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication in English; ability to present clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Research NZ and international markets for solar, battery storage, EVs, chargers and related infra.
• Benchmark Sunnytech Solar against competitors and distribution networks.
• Build an evidence base from industry data and internal records and translate into actionable insights.
• Evaluate new business models and revenue streams with commercial logic and risk profiles.
• Prepare feasibility studies including volumes, pricing and payback modelling.
• Assess supplier options, certification requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Gather market intelligence from customers, installers, and trade events.
• Analyze current sales-to-delivery workflow and internal reporting for new lines.
• Propose changes to procedures and roll out revised workflows and docs.
• Report regularly to management with industry briefings and performance monitoring.
