Job summary

Presbyterian Support Central (Enliven and Family Works) is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Lower Hutt Enliven residential team. Two roles available, each 64 hours per fortnight, on rostered AM, PM and night shifts with weekend work possible.

You will supervise HCAs, deliver high-quality aged care, and support elders across rest home, hospital or dementia wing, with a person-centred approach and our values of empathy, compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years full-time RN experience.
• Experience with elder care or complex health conditions.
• Experience leading a team of Healthcare Assistants.
• Basic computer literacy and use of electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality aged care across rest home, hospital or dementia wing.
• Supervise Healthcare Assistants and model best practice standards.
• Support independence and engagement in daily activities for Elders.
• Work rosters including AM, PM, night shifts and weekends where required.

Mō To Tūranga - About The Role

Working as part of our Enliven residential team in a peer-supported environment, you will be part of a team where everyone wants to deliver great quality aged care for our Elders. They may be living with us in our rest home, hospital or dementia wing, but no matter what level of care we provide we want to support independence and enable the ability to access and enjoy the many day-to-day activities at the Home and the things they love to do.

We have two roles available both working 64 hours per fortnight. Both roles will be working on rostered and rotating shifts AM, PM and night shifts and the roster may also include weekend working.

Our clinical team are responsible for supervising the provision of care by our Healthcare Assistants and role modelling best practice standards of healthcare and support for our elders to maximize their overall health and well-being.

As well as a passion for the wellbeing of our elders, you will be enthusiastic, patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and operate with a person-centred approach and high-quality standards.

We believe it's all about the way we communicate with each other and how we get the job done that counts towards making the difference to everyone's day. So being a great team player and working collaboratively is important.

Also You Will Have

• Current Annual Practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years full time experience as a RN
• Previous experience in provision of care to elders or working with complex general health conditions
• Experience working with a team of Healthcare Assistants to deliver daily cares
• Used electronic record keeping systems and have a basic level of computer literacy
• Interrai would be an advantage - but we can train you!
