Job summary

Bupa Tōtara Gardens Care Home in Tikipunga, Whangārei is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the permanent full-time team on a 32-hour week with a 4 on/2 off roster. You will deliver high-quality resident care, support assessments, documentation, and care planning, while collaborating with whānau and the multidisciplinary team in a modern 56-bed setting.

New Zealand Nursing Council registration and aged care experience are preferred, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and professional development

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered.
• Proven ability to develop care plans and document accurately.
• Identifies health changes early and acts to ensure safety.
• Communicates effectively with residents, whānau, teams and providers.
• Maintains clinical standards and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Bupa Tōtara Gardens Care Home in Tikipunga, Whangārei is a modern 56-bed care home offeringRest Home, Hospital and Dementia levels of care. Residents benefit from modern facilities, private ensuites, person-centred care, outdoor spaces, and 24-hour clinical support. The care home is purpose-built, spacious, and designed to support both residents and the clinical team.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type:Permanent Full Time
• Hours:Average 32 hours per week
• Shift Time: Morning & Afternoons | Morning 6:45am to 3:13pm and Afternoon 2:45pm to 11:15pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 shifts on, 2 shifts off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
• NZ aged care experience preferred; other RN backgrounds considered
• Demonstrated improvements in care plans, assessments and documentation quality
• Identifies health changes early and acts to ensure safety
• Communicates effectively with residents, whānau, teams and providers
• Maintains clinical standards, accurate documentation and quality improvement
• Confident using clinical systems, records and reporting tools.
