Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Wellington Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Transit Unit. The role is permanent, FTE rostered and rotating, with 24/7 coverage.

You will provide pre-operative care for cardiac and surgical patients and support discharges and inter-hospital transfers. Essential: NZ residency or citizenship, current NZ Nursing Registration and Annual Practising Certificate, at least 3 years post-graduate experience, and cardiac/surgical experience.

Responsibilities

Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.**About the Role**We're looking for flexible, dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Transit nursing team to work in our Transit Unit, at Wellington Regional HospitalTransit services is a fast paced and dynamic area to work we differ from many Transit areas as we provide a 24 /7 service. With have a small but highly skilled team of Registered Nurses and Health care assistants. We provide pre-operative care for cardiac and surgical patients and Cardiac, Gastroenterology and urology day procedures. The transit team support discharges from the clinical areas and interface with flight for Inter- hospital transfers.As the successful candidate you will demonstrate core competencies in nursing and be keen to develop new skills and knowledge within a variety of specialties.
