The Doctors Phoenix is a part of The Doctors Medical Centres, New Zealand’s largest network of GPs and primary care providers. This permanent part-time role (24 hours weekly) offers a supportive team, opportunities for growth, and a path to contributing to community health.

Qualifications

• A current New Zealand practising certificate; experience in a medical centre is desirable.
• Competent in nursing across primary and/or secondary care.
• Practice aligned with the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications or working towards one are highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions.
• Willing to continually learn and improve; strong communication and rapport with the team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build strong rapport with colleagues.
• CPR certificate ideal; immunisation and smear taker certificates desirable.
• Computer literacy is expected.

Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us at The Doctor Phoenix to contribute clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical center leadership.

This is a permanent part time position working 24 hours across Monday to Sunday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
• Willing to continually learn and improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
• Computer literate
