The Doctors Drury is expanding our team with a permanent 36-hour-per-week position in a supportive general practice. Our clinic serves the Drury, Karaka, Papakura communities, with a focus on accessible, quality primary care.

Qualifications

• Current NZ practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre is desirable.
• Postgraduate nursing qualifications or progression towards one are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with team and patients.
• Willingness to continually learn and improve.
• CPR certificate is preferred; vaccination and smear taker certificates desirable but not essential.

The Doctors Drury is a general medical family practice. We’ve proudly provided primary healthcare to the people of Drury, Karaka, Papakura, and outlying communities since 1985. The practice was established by Dr Judy Goulden, who was the NZ Ferns netball doctor for several years. We are a team of 6 GPs, 6 nurses, 6 reception team members, a Health Improvement Practitioner and a Health Coach.

Our current nursing team have diverse skillset offering a wide range of services to our patients. We offer sociable day-time hours with no after hours/weekend work, competitive pay, career growth opportunities & regular social events. We use Medtech evolution as our practice management software.

This is a permanent position working 36 hours across 4 days from Monday to Sunday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)


• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.


• Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions


• Willing to continually learnand improve


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.


• You will ideally hold current CPR certificate


• Vaccination and smear taker certificates is desirable but not essential
