Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes in Rotorua is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Theatre and Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit on a 0.9 FTE permanent basis. You will work in our theatres and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of perioperative care, ensuring a high standard and a safe patient journey. Rostered shifts across Mon-Sun with on-call duties; we offer a supportive environment with opportunities for

Qualifications

  • NZ Qualified Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • NZ full drivers license or working towards this.
  • Preferably 2 years of perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate perioperative patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to a safe patient journey across the perioperative continuum.
  • Rostered shifts and on-call duties as part of a flexible schedule.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Operating Theatre. You will be joining our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals.

About the role

Primary responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation in conjunction with working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and a safe client journey across the perioperative care continuum.

  • Permanent, part time role available, 9 days a fortnight.
  • Hours of work: Mon-Sun, with on-call work mixed in with morning and afternoon shifts.
