Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Lakes is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Theatre/Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit in Rotorua. This permanent, part-time role (0.9 FTE) offers rostered shifts and on-call components, to support perioperative care across the patient journey.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate.
• Preferably 2+ years in perioperative nursing.
• Be a team player with a can-do attitude and focus on patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate perioperative patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure a safe client journey across the perioperative continuum.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Operating Theatre. You will be joining our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals.

About the role

Primary responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation in conjunction with working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and a safe client journey across the perioperative care continuum.

• Permanent, part time role available, 9 days a fortnight.
• Hours of work: Mon-Sun, with on-call work mixed in with morning and afternoon shifts.
