Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Southern invites applications for a Registered Nurse – Oncology at Southland Hospital. This 0.6 FTE fixed-term role runs December 2026 to December 2027, with shifts 08:00–17:30, and requires flexibility.
You will care for medical oncology, haematology, and chemotherapy patients, perform assessments, administer therapies, and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.

Our service looks after the care of medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology and Medical Day Stay patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive therapy, or patients who have recently returned from radiation therapy in Dunedin. Some of the key nursing tasks are: comprehensive patient assessment; administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapies and associated supportive therapies or procedures; and psychosocial assessment and support.
