Job summary

Radius Residential Care Limited in Tauranga is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide person-centred care, complete patient assessments and care plans, and administer medicines. You will monitor residents, support families, and promote outcomes that enhance wellbeing.

You must hold a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate, have computer literacy, and enjoy working rosters. New graduates welcome, with a supportive team and ongoing development opportunities.

Currently we have 25 locations nationwide, employing over 1800 staff and providing professional aged care for more than 1700 residents. Location:RadiusAlthorp, 9 Grantston Drive, Pyes Pa, Tauranga

Hours of work: Full-time, 64 hours per fortnight, over a rotating 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.

There are also 2 Part-time roles available, working 45 hours per fortnight.

About the role:

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents

• Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines

• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency

• Wound management

• Reassuring and educating residents’ families
