Job summary

Radius Care in New Zealand is seeking a Registered Nurse for casual shifts at Radius Millstream, Allenton, Ashburton. You will provide person-centred care, complete patient assessments and care plans, monitor residents and administer medicines.

Work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. NZ Annual Practising Certificate required; visa restrictions apply for casual roles.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Computer literacy with concise reporting skills.
• People skills and empathy for residents and their families.
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts.
• 1+ years of experience as a registered nurse in NZ preferred.
• InterRAI preferred.

Location:RadiusMillstream, 20 Hanrahan St, Allenton, Ashburton

Hours of work:Casual, as and when required. Should be able to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for casual RN roles. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role:

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents

• Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines

• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency

• Wound management

• Reassuring and educating residents’ families
