Job summary

Ryman Healthcare in New Plymouth’s Jean Sandel Village invites a Registered Nurse to join our caring team on a fixed-term basis.

The role is full-time, Saturday to Wednesday, 41.5 hours, starting 1 November 2026 and finishing 31 May 2027. You will provide compassionate care, build relationships with residents and families, and use our MyRyman app to document care plans.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Registered Nurse (RN) with valid practicing certificate.
• Ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team with residents and families.
• Demonstrated compassion and patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care tailored to residents.
• Develop lasting relationships with residents and their families.
• Assess residents, develop and review care plans.
• Administer treatments and ongoing support.
• Use the myRyman app for care planning and documentation.
• Support the Clinical Manager and Unit Coordinators.
