Job summary

Radius Care is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join our New Zealand team. This role requires flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

You must hold a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate and be prepared to provide high-quality, person-centred care across our residents. Gain valuable experience in documenting care plans, administering medicines, and supporting residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must hold current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• 1+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse in NZ.
• InterRAI certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in aged care nursing is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents.
• Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines.
• Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency.
• Administer medicines and assist residents with daily activities.

Hours of work: Casual, as and when required. Must be able to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for casual RN roles. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.
