Job summary

St Joseph's Lifecare, part of Heritage Lifecare, in Upper Hutt, Wellington, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver resident-centred care in a warm, caring environment.

Permanent full-time role (32 hours or more per week) with AM, PM, Nights and weekend shifts. Lead a team of Caregivers, develop care plans, carry out clinical assessments, and collaborate with residents, families and GPs to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current APC in NZ or abroad.
• Experience as RN in NZ or overseas preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine passion for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Team spirit, empathy and drive to make a difference in residents’ lives.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the Clinical Services and Care Home Managers

Your Skills And Experience

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either in New Zealand or abroad
• Hold a current APC
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Have a good team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
