Little Dinosaurs is a small family-oriented centre in Epsom with a philosophy grounded in visual arts, creativity, child-led learning, and authentic relationships. We are currently looking for a passionate registered ECE teacher to join our warm and collaborative team.

About the role

This is a permanent part-time teaching position (22.5 hours across 3 days per week).

Responsibilities
  • Creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences for tamariki
  • Supporting children’s learning and development in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Building positive relationships with whānau and colleagues
  • Supporting programmes inspired by creativity, visual arts, exploration, and open-ended learning
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive teaching team
  • Contributing positively to the centre culture and learning environment
Qualifications
  • Is ECE qualified and registered
  • Holds a current NZ provisional or full practising certificate
  • Has a strong understanding of Te Whāriki and bicultural practice
  • Values creativity, artistic expression, and child-led learning
  • Brings warmth, initiative, and professionalism into their teaching
  • Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team environment
  • Has sound knowledge of ECE legislation, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Must legally reside in New Zealand with appropriate work rights (we are not an accredited employer)
