Job summary

Nanaksar Educare Centre in Auckland is seeking a passionate and qualified Certificated teacher to work with tamariki aged 0-5 years. You will plan, implement and evaluate learning experiences based on Te Whāriki, observe development, and create a culturally responsive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified NZ Certificated teacher and registered with the Teaching Council.
• Graduate Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE) required.
• Experience with Te Whāriki and bicultural practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate learning experiences based on Te Whāriki.
• Observe and document children’s development and learning progress.
• Create a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote biculturalism, diversity, and equity in education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum quality.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.
• Build strong relationships with children, whānau and staff.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and adherence to centre policies.
