Horizon Services Limited, based in Whakatāne, is seeking a Regional General Manager to lead regional strategy and drive sustainable growth across Upper North Island units. You will oversee Whakatane & Pukekohe depots, delivering commercial outcomes while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring extensive leadership in the electricity sector, a strong grasp of regulatory compliance, and proven budgeting and financial oversight capabilities within dynamic environments.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Utilities, you'll be senior member of Horizon Services management team, responsible for overseeing regional strategy and delivering strong commercial performance and sustainable growth.

Leading Horizon Service's Whakatane & Pukekohe depots, the key responsibilities of the role include,

• Setting and overseeing the execution of regional strategy for commercial success throughout the Upper North Island Business units.
• Developing and executing growth & retention plans, building new client relationships while continue successfully servicing existing clients
• Ensuring the programme of internal network design & engineering projects are delivered within annual budgets and timeframes
• Drive the implementation of new policies, systems, and process improvement
• Taking ownership of regional financial management
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction

About You

Coming from a background as a senior leader, you'll bring extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the electricity sector, bringing a proactive and personable approach to commercial leadership. This role will see you bringing competencies in the following areas,

• Demonstrated leadership experience and a proven track record within management positions
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and service delivery within the electricity sector
• Experience in optimising commercial outcomes within complex and rapidly evolving environments
• A tertiary or trade qualification within electrical engineering or a related field
• Expertise and attention to detail within financial management and budgeting
• A rigorous approach to health and safety, having worked in high-risk environments
