Job summary

WSP New Zealand is seeking a Regional Controller to join our finance leadership team in Auckland. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with the business to provide high-quality accounting and financial advice and be the principal advisor on accounting matters.

You will be a strategic, commercially minded accountant capable of simplifying complexity, influencing decisions and leading teams through change. The role also provides Financial Operations leadership with GBS and GSS.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in finance and accounting or finance leadership.
• Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders translating complex financial information into clear actions.
• Experience leading finance teams in a matrix environment; coaching and change leadership.
• Strong systems, modelling and reporting capability across ERP, EPM and BI; finance transformation or shared services experience desirable.

Reporting to the CFO, this position will partner with our business to provide high quality accounting and financial advice and be the principal advisor on accounting matters.

You will be a strategic and commercially minded accountant and collaborative leader. You will have proven strong judgement, executive presence, accountability and the ability to simplify complexity, influence decisions and lead teams through change.

This position will also provide Financial Operations leadership, managing the relationship with the Global Business Services and Global Support Services teams.

Role Requirements:

Experience at a senior level in finance and accounting or finance leadership within a complex, project-based or professional services environment

Proven ability to advise and influence senior operational and executive stakeholders, translating complex financial information into clear actions and decisions

Experience leading finance teams in a matrix environment, with capability in coaching, prioritization, stakeholder management and change leadership

Strong systems, modelling and reporting capability across ERP, EPM and BI tools; experience with finance transformation, shared services or ERP implementation desirable
