Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Construction Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient delivery of large-scale civil projects across Central Otago. You will coordinate crews, plant, subcontractors and resources, build strong teams and ensure high standards and client outcomes.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on safety, performance and continuous improvement, while developing leaders and fostering trusted relationships with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading civil construction operations or large-scale project delivery environments.
• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, support and develop teams.
• Excellent planning, resource management and problem-solving capability.
• A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of construction projects and work programmes across the region.
• Coordinate crews, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractors to deliver work safely and efficiently.
• Plan and sequence work to achieve productivity, quality and client outcomes.
• Coach and support supervisors and operational teams to build capability and strong performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
