Job summary

Foodies seeks a skilled butcher leader to partner with store managers across Waikato and Coromandel regions, visiting 35–40 stores. You will coach teams, drive category improvements and uphold food safety standards while working autonomously and planning travel.

Based in Auckland or Waikato/Coromandel with weekly office time and field visits. Ideal candidates bring strong butchery leadership, meat production knowledge, data-driven decision making and willingness to travel regularly.

Qualifications

• Butchery experience in leadership roles such as a manager or senior team member.
• Strong understanding of meat cuts, yields, waste control and production planning.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to use insights to influence outcomes.
• Experience using SAP or similar systems in a retail environment.
• Exceptional people and coaching skills with the ability to influence, challenge and inspire.
• Strong planning, organisation and self-management capabilities.
• Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor store teams to lift capability and performance.
• Analyse store and category data to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Build strong, credible relationships with department managers and owner/operators.
• Implement best practices in butchery operations, production and food safety.
