Job summary

ACC seeks a Recovery Partner - Mental Injury (Level 1/2) to work directly with clients requiring intensive support after complex trauma. You will coordinate recovery across whānau, providers and agencies, navigating distressing stories with resilience and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, disability, rehabilitation or social services with complex needs.
• High levels of resilience to manage emotionally demanding work.
• Ability to build trust with clients in vulnerable or challenging situations.
• Strong decision-making skills in complex, high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication, including handling difficult conversations.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to recovery and rehabilitation.
• Ability to collaborate across services, providers and agencies.
• Cultural awareness and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Confidence working with systems and managing sensitive client information.
• Must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
