Open2view in Auckland seeks a hands-on Photography and Video Production lead focused on real estate media. You will deliver professional video and photography, manage bookings and ensure timely delivery, and support the Auckland office with photographer coordination.
You will also help maintain quality standards, onboard new photographers, and collaborate across regions to improve efficiency and client service.
This is primarily a hands-on role delivering real estate video and photography services to Auckland clients, with a particular focus on video production. The majority of working time is expected to be spent on billable shoots, editing and delivery. Other responsibilities include coordinating the Auckland office photography team, improving production efficiency, and supporting quality and skills development across the wider Open2view network. Support for photographers in Auckland, Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Nelson and Northland is primarily remote, with occasional travel when required.
Deliver professional video and photography services across Auckland, managing assigned jobs from preparation through to final delivery.
Maintain high standards while working efficiently, meeting booking commitments and agreed turnaround times.
Handle specialised or challenging shoots when required, and produce additional B-roll, social content and product demonstrations.
Keep practical shooting, editing and post-production skills current.
Coordinate the daily workload of employed photographers working from the Auckland office, including a brief daily review of bookings and priorities.
Work with office and production staff to keep jobs moving and address delays or bottlenecks.
Use gaps in the booking schedule productively for B-roll, social content, training and other useful work.
Hold weekly reviews of completed jobs to share techniques, provide feedback and identify improvements.
Improve team output by reducing avoidable shooting and editing time, rework and other inefficiencies.
Establish and maintain documented quality standards for photography and video, including shooting, editing and presentation.
Review the work and capabilities of photographers in the assigned regions at least monthly, mainly remotely.
Help assess and onboard new photographers through portfolio reviews, practical assessments and initial training.
Identify useful industry trends, tools and product opportunities, and work with management on testing and rollout.
Build relationships with Auckland clients through day-to-day service delivery, and introduce relevant Open2view products and services.
Gather feedback, follow up on quality concerns and support sales colleagues with demonstrations or technical advice when needed.
Keep management informed about production, photographer development, quality concerns and opportunities to improve equipment or processes.
Personal production: Maintain a strong billable workload and meet agreed production and revenue targets.
Efficiency: Increase productive shooting and editing capacity without sacrificing quality.
Quality: Deliver reliable client work and improve consistency across the network.
Team support: Keep the Auckland office workflow organised and provide regular, useful training and feedback.
Client service and development: Meet client expectations and contribute practical product improvements.
Specific production, revenue and productivity targets will be agreed with management and reviewed periodically, allowing for the time needed for other responsibilities.
Strong professional videography and photography experience, ideally in real estate, including editing and post-production.
Confident with relevant camera equipment and software such as Premiere Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop (or equivalents).
Experience working directly with clients, managing bookings and meeting deadlines.
Able to coach others, give practical feedback and provide support remotely.
Organised, approachable and commercially minded, with a strong focus on quality and efficient production.
Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel occasionally where needed.
This is a technical leadership and coordination role, not a formal people management position. Daily workload coordination applies only to employed photographers based at the Auckland office. Formal employment matters, disciplinary processes and franchise compliance remain with management.
