DOC in Tūrangi is seeking a Ranger, Fishery to protect the Taupō Fishery and enhance angler experiences. This role blends fieldwork, compliance, recreation asset maintenance and visitor engagement across outdoor environments.

The position requires strong health and safety focus, practical field skills, and a NZ Driver Licence; experience in fisheries or environmental operations is preferred. Based in Tūrangi with a 65k–76k salary.

Qualifications

  • Full NZ Driver Licence required.

  • Experience in fisheries, conservation, environmental field operations, or related outdoor field-based role.
  • Strong health and safety focus; ability to lead Health & Safety of others.

We're looking for someone who is practical, motivated, and passionate about conservation and outdoor field work.
