Responsibilities

  • Maintain backcountry huts, bridges and structures across Fiordland National Park.
  • Carry out maintenance on historic sites and tracks in back/front country.
  • Lead safety briefings and oversee team safety daily.
  • Support rangers at Great Walk huts with supplies and sewage system maintenance.
  • Manage field operations logistics and provide guidance to the ranger team.
