Job summary

DOC in Te Anau is seeking a Ranger - Project Lead to drive the Fit-for-Purpose programme, coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver conservation assets projects across the Te Anau District.

You will lead field operations, manage plans, timelines and budgets, and report milestones while building strong relationships with iwi, whānau, communities and partner organisations to enable outcomes for protected places and ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating conservation projects and programmes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within budgets and timeframes.
• Strong communication and relationship management across diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of conservation operations, assets, infrastructure, or operational delivery is advantageous.
