Job summary

Te Puna Ora o Mātaatua is seeking a Taiohi Programme Coordinator I to connect with Rangatahi at risk of disengagement and support them to reach their potential. The role involves delivering wānanga, one-on-one follow-up, and developing Whānau Ora plans to achieve positive outcomes.

You will work with rangatahi in school settings, build relationships with whānau and kaiāhi, and contribute to innovative youth support initiatives in Auckland. A passion for youth development is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to engage and maintain relationships with Rangatahi and whānau.
• Confidence to deliver group workshops and/or wānanga.
• Experience working with Rangatahi in a school setting.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and Tikanga.

Responsibilities

• Implement wānanga or group sessions with Rangatahi.
• Provide one-on-one follow-up support.
• Work towards individualised Whānau Ora plans.
• Engage meaningfully to achieve the best outcomes for Rangatahi.
