Job summary

The Galen Japanese ramen restaurant in Science Park (Queenstown, NZ) is seeking reliable part-time kitchen assistants to support lunch service. Training provided; no prior experience required. The role offers Mon–Fri, 9:00am–6:00pm shifts with a base salary up to NZD 2,500 per month.

Responsibilities include lunch prep, plating, packaging takeaway orders, restocking, and maintaining a clean workstation. Mandarin proficiency is preferred for Mandarin-speaking clients, with English acceptable for

Qualifications

• No experience required – training provided.
• Able to follow basic instructions in English or Mandarin.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work during lunch rush.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lunch prep and plating to restaurant standards.
• Pack takeaway orders accurately and replenish condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and workstations; follow SOPs.
• Support post-lunch closing duties and stock organization.
