Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Thames Radiology is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist to join our dynamic team at Thames Hospital. You will perform diagnostic imaging with a strong emphasis on safety, patient care and efficient service delivery.

The role offers 0.9 FTE in a fixed-term contract until February 2028, with CT training provided. We welcome new graduates and support career development within a supportive regional hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Hold full registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (general scope) and a current practising certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and strong patient focus are required.
• Demonstrated time management and organisational abilities.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• CT training would be advantageous or willingness to be trained in CT.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner.
• Deliver safe, respectful, efficient patient care and service delivery.
• Participate in a rotating shift roster including day and on-call coverage.
• Meet CPD requirements and maintain registration standards.
• Work collaboratively with the radiology team to ensure excellent patient experience.
