Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in New Plymouth is seeking a General Medical Imaging Technologist with MRI focus to join our radiology department. The role is permanent up to 80 hours per fortnight and based across multiple sites.

You will work in a supportive team, participate in an on-call roster including weekends, and make sound clinical decisions under pressure. NZ registration and annual practising certificate are essential.

Qualifications

• NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate.
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
• Well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family centred care.
• Capable of working independently and within a small team.
• Willing to train students and contribute to learning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the on-call roster, including weekends, shifts and call duties.
• Provide high-quality imaging services and support across MRI and general radiology departments.
