Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Film Editor to oversee the post-production editing process for film and television projects from our Queenstown base. You will lead a team of editors, shape storytelling, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

You will mentor junior editors, collaborate with directors and producers, and integrate VFX, sound, and color grading into final cuts while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Film Editor, with at least 2 years in a lead/senior role.
• Strong portfolio across feature films, documentaries, or TV series.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid).
• Excellent storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure understanding.
• Experience with color grading, sound mixing, and VFX workflows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or related field preferred.
• Willingness to work at Queenstown, NZ or commutable.

Responsabilités
