Job summary

Alliance Extra Staff in Belfast, Christchurch, NZ, is seeking an experienced Class 4 WTR Yardman / Quarry Assistant to join a busy quarry operation. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys operating machinery, working outdoors, and being part of a productive team.

The position may become permanent for the right person. Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and be prepared for a temp-to-perm opportunity.

Qualifications

• Class 4 licence (essential).
• WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks & Rollers).
• Experience operating loaders.
• Confident driving a Road Ranger gearbox.
• Previous quarry, yard, civil, or heavy equipment experience.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Reliable attitude and willingness to help where needed.

Responsibilities

• Operating loaders and other quarry equipment.
• Loading customers safely and efficiently.
• Operating a water cart and managing dust control.
• General quarry and yard maintenance.
• Truck wash upkeep and site housekeeping.
• Assisting with deliveries, hosing down areas, and other manual yard tasks.
• Following and promoting all site health and safety procedures.
