Job summary

RWR Construction JobAdder is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial delivery on residential projects in the Bay of Plenty, Tauranga. You will engage with estimators, project managers and leaders to cover early pricing through project completion.

The role focuses on estimating, procurement, cost control and commercial decision-making, with opportunities to contribute to value engineering and long-term growth within a growing residential builder.

Qualifications

• Residential Quantity Surveying experience, with group housing preferred.
• Strong estimating and post-contract QS capabilities.
• Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Our client is a well-established residential builder with an exciting pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering quality homes across the Bay of Plenty. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.

This is a broad role where you'll be involved from the early pricing stages through to project completion, working alongside experienced estimators, project managers and operational leaders on a diverse range of residential projects.

You'll play a key role in the commercial delivery of residential construction projects, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing estimates and detailed cost plans.
• Procurement and subcontractor engagement.
• Producing purchase orders and managing budgets.
• Contract administration and project cost control.
• Managing variations and payment claims.
