Job summary

Sanford Bioactive in Marlborough is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to safeguard food safety, site compliance and quality across Bioactives operations. You will work with the Quality Assurance Manager and operating teams to uphold high standards and drive continuous improvement.

You’ll lead the site QC and compliance team, manage non-conformances, audits, and documentation, and partner with operations to enhance product quality and meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a food production environment.
• A strong understanding of sensory and quality evaluation.
• Quality experience, ideally with at least 2 years in a quality role.
• Tertiary or relevant industry qualifications are preferred.
• Seafood or food manufacturing experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain our RMP licence and ensure compliance with MPI and overseas market requirements.
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead the site QC and compliance team.
• Manage non-conformance processes and investigate customer complaints.
• Plan and manage RMP and MSC audits.
• Monitor product quality, CCPs and quality documentation.
• Lead internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with operations to improve product quality and reduce repeat quality issues.
• Support new product development and QC/QA process validations.
• Ensure operations meet customer and food safety requirements.
• Identify and escalate quality, compliance and food safety issues.

About the role

What you’ll bring
