Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join the Contract Monitoring and Compliance team. You will work with care providers and sector partners to promote quality care, safe practice and continuous improvement across the care system.

A recognised social work qualification and current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board are required, with a focus on risk, health and safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification and current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board.
• Experience in quality assurance, monitoring, compliance, auditing, or service improvement.
• Knowledge of the National Care Standards and Related Matters Regulations.
• Understanding health and safety responsibilities, risk management and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with care providers and sector partners.
• Support quality improvement initiatives that strengthen outcomes for children and young people.
• Lead and contribute to reviews, assessments and monitoring activities.
• Provide practical advice on quality standards, regulatory requirements and good practice.
• Support providers to understand and meet health and safety responsibilities.
• Identify risks, opportunities and emerging issues, and help develop practical solutions.
• Contribute to initiatives that strengthen quality, safety and continuous improvement across the care sector.
