Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking an experienced Supervisor Social Worker to lead and supervise a team at the Te Kaipara site. You will work with tamariki and whānau, travel around the region as required, and collaborate with Iwi, government and NGO partners to support our whānau.

The role requires SWRB registration, a recognised social work qualification, and proven people management skills.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid driver''s license.
• Full registration with SWRB as a social worker.
• SW RB-recognised social work qualification.
• Proven people management and/or mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and supervise a team of social workers.
• Travel around the region as required.
• Identify development needs and support growth of team.
• Manage workflow and ensure timely decisions.
• Ensure practice aligns with our values and Practice Framework.
• Partner with peer supervisors and wider leadership.
