Job summary

Aotea Electric Ashburton is looking for a qualified Service Electrician to join our Mid Canterbury team. You'll be out with local customers, diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs across commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar work.

You’ll work with a supportive crew, manage your own schedule, communicate clearly with customers, and ensure work is done safely and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified, registered electrician with a current practising licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Can organise their own work and use initiative.
• Communicates well with customers and the team.
• Reliable, practical and takes pride in workmanship.
• Understands the importance of safety and doing things properly.

Responsibilities

We are growing and looking for a qualified Service Electrician to join our team here in Mid Canterbury.

What will your days look like?

There's plenty of variety, so you won't be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll be out and about working with our local customers, sorting problems and helping keep their homes, businesses and operations running smoothly.

You’ll Be Doing Things Like

• Fault finding and getting to the bottom of electrical problems.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Completing installations, upgrades and improvement work.
• Working across commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar jobs.
• Talking with customers, explaining your findings and recommending sensible solutions.
• Completing testing, commissioning and job documentation.
• Working alongside a good bunch of people who are happy to lend a hand when needed.
