Job summary

Aotea Electric Ashburton is seeking a qualified Service Electrician to join our team in Mid Canterbury. You’ll work across commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar projects, delivering reliable electrical solutions to local customers.

You’ll be out and about, using strong fault-finding skills, explaining issues and recommending practical fixes, while prioritising safety and high workmanship standards. We value independence and teamwork alike.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified, registered electrician with a current practising licence.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Can organise their own work and use their initiative.
• Communicates well with customers and the team.
• Is reliable, practical and takes pride in their workmanship.
• Understands the importance of doing things properly and working safely.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and getting to the bottom of electrical problems.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Completing installations, upgrades and improvement work.
• Working across commercial, industrial, residential, HVAC, rural and solar jobs.
• Talking with customers, explaining findings and recommending sensible solutions.
• Completing testing, commissioning and job documentation.
• Working alongside a good bunch of people who are happy to lend a hand when needed.

We are growing and looking for a qualified Service Electrician to join our team here in Mid Canterbury.

What will your days look like?

There’s plenty of variety, so you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day. You’ll be out and about working with our local customers, sorting problems and helping keep their homes, businesses and operations running smoothly.

You’ll Be Doing Things Like

• Fault finding and getting to the bottom of electrical problems.
