AMT Maintenance Services in Christchurch is seeking HVAC Technicians to join our team. Roles cover maintenance, servicing, and installation across a large commercial HVAC portfolio, with some travel to Otago/Southland regions as needed.

Ideal candidates will have HVAC qualifications or be a Refrigeration Engineer and/or Registered Electrician, with a strong safety mindset, ability to work autonomously or in teams, and a valid NZ driver's license.

AMT Group is a locally owned group of companies based in Wigram, Christchurch that provide Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Servicing and Mechanical Services Installation solutions to our large client base of commercial customers across the South Island region.

AMT Maintenance Services is currently looking for HVAC Technicians based out of our Christchurch office. Some of these roles may require occasional out of town travel. There may also be potential opportunities for the applicants that may already be based in the Otago/Southland region - particularly service and maintenance applicants looking to relocate or already based in the regions.

Maintenance Trade Assist Roles - Ideally you will have some trade experience within the HVAC industry or similar and be keen to support and assist our skilled technicians carrying out maintenance and servicing of our large commercial HVAC maintenance portfolio.

Service & Maintenance Roles - Ideally you will be a HVAC qualified, Refrigeration Engineer and/or a Registered Electrician with experience across all forms of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry with extensive servicing experience in a commercial environment. Commercial and Residential Air Conditioning and Ventilation installation experience will also be an advantage.

Installer Roles - HVAC / Pipework / Duct Installer and/or Refrigeration qualifications preferable however, strong industry knowledge and extensive commercial installation experience will be taken into consideration based on the various roles we have available.

To be considered for these roles, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

• Qualifications and experience as noted above
• Be physically fit
• Ability to follow instructions and work both autonomously and in a team environment
• A positive, can-do attitude Punctual and reliable with an excellent work ethic
• Competent with technology - Simpro experience an advantage for Service based roles
• Good references
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening testvv...
• Pay attention to detail, work to a high standard and with excellent communication skills
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Current NZ Drivers License
• A site safe passport, First aid certificate, EWP (Elevated Work Platforms), and Height and Harness qualifications will be advantageous
• Be able to interpret plans, schematics and specifications
• Ability to carry out accurate site measures and drawings for manufacture where required
